Just an FYI to you guys. Sorry about the load times today, and how the site was hanging up when trying to access the forums. Kzap tracked down the problem, something so simple and yet obscure. Problem fixed and the forums should be blazing fast for accessing, posting, and more. And yes, the search and other functionality has all been restored in the forums.

I understand there are some problems with the cron job in the auction, we are working on that.

I want to thank you all so much for your patience. Take any frustration and multiple it by 10 and you can imagine how we were all feeling here on staff. I hope this will be the end of any site lag or forum problems.

Scary couple of hours there for sure, nice work as always. Can't wait for the few other hundred we appear to be missing at this moment to find there way over here.

No, not fixed.

What is going on? I can't get in for hours, then I get in, everything works...for about 2 minutes, then nothing for hours again.

I bet this post fails....

EDIT: OK forgive my frustration. Everything seems to have stabilized now. 20+ minutes without a "Page Cannot Be Displayed" error!

I got my Guru fix.

DNS woes!!! What is going on??????? Why does 'www.guildwarsguru.com' work sometimes and then stop working? Wouldn't a DNS problem be constant?

Fortunately, it worked long enough for me to get the direct IP address, but then it went down again.

Is there a posibility that the main DNS servers are cross-updating each other? That would explain why it works sometimes.

BTW: www.guildwarsguru.NET works just fine.

I cannot connect to guru using my usualy bookmarks (guildwarsguru.com).

I either have to go to .net or http://38.99.233.252 (guildie told me to use the ip... not sure if that's good or not :\.

Just a minor annoyance.

http://www.guildwarsguru.com/ works for me... I'm lazy, so I have a guildwars.com bookmark on my firefox toolbar.. i click that > community > guildwarsguru.com eheh.

^^.. rather move my mouse around for 3 hours than take 2 secs to type something out

www.guildwarsguru.com varies for some people.

It depends on their ISP. If the ISP didn't update the DNS then the link won't work

Site access has been horrible until I figured out the trick to using the numerical IP. I was trying to access the forums via the forum index on the left of the main page. Doesn't work. If I click on one of the "showcased forum threads" link, I get access. Man, I can't wait until this whole thing is fixed. :/

I'm still having problems with the text url. The IP works perfectly.

And I have a custom home page with GWG linked from there. I'm even lazier. Its just there and I click it, lol.

I got on yesterday morning to see the message about "we're on a new faster server" then after I got back from work I couldn't get on it at all, until now, the next day!

What's wierd is I had my neighbor check (is on SBC too) and it workd fine for him! I guess they realized thatI use the internet too much and are makign me suffer

It's actually up to 8 bookmarks now

Added skill listing and search. I always egt sidetracked looking for skills and can never remember where the little text is (1600x1200 with extra small font = hard to see
